Vestis Services Warehouse Production - Team Lead Associate in Avondale, Arizona
Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Train new employees
Assist Management with monitoring employee performance and determining appropriate correction action
Aid in resolving daily issues and escalate issues as required
Provide guidance to the team based on Management direction
Assist management in quality audits of employees
Manage daily quality logs
Answer team questions related to quality issues or concerns
Coordinate workflow distribution
Work with functional team members to obtain necessary resources to meet team needs
Assist Management in coordinating employee work schedules and breaks
Assist Management in monitoring employee attendance
Maintain appropriate, required production records
Communicate miscellaneous production supply needs to management
Maintain an environment based on trust, open communication, creative thinking, and cohesive team effort
Lead by setting a good example; behavior consistent with words
Lead special projects as assigned
Assist with facilitating floor meetings
Work in a production capacity as needed
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Previous leadership experience preferred
Experience in various warehouse positions with emphasis in shipping and receiving departments
Able to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs
Able to sit, stand, walk, and climb stairs 8-10hrs in a day
Excellent communication skills
Ability to instruct/teach
Ability to work in a team
Ability to maintain a positive attitude in the workplace
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to complete work in a timely manner and by set deadlines
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Computer knowledge to include Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Ability to be equipment certified based on department needs, including forklift equipment
Ability to work a flexible schedule (shifts/hours) with notice
