Position Overview:

The Shipper/Receiver employees are assigned tasks within the normal operation of a distribution center. The assigned tasks are repetitive in nature and acceptable proficiency can normally be attained within a few days. One is normally assigned to a specific task’s area within the production flow of the garments.

Essential Functions:

  • Create and maintain customer database & maintain various reports/spreadsheets

  • Interface with AUCA internal customers

  • Assist customer service by tracking packages/shipments

  • Perform general clerical duties

  • Package by hand a wide variety of products and materials for shipment.

  • Use hand or mail handling machines to time stamp, open, sort, and route merchandise

  • Duties may also include keeping necessary records and completed forms.

  • Maintains department quality and production standards.

  • Daily/weekly upkeep of equipment and facility (cleaning) as needed

  • Must perform all tasks in a timely and accurate manner

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Must be able to multi-task

  • Computer skills; including Excel, Word, and Outlook a must

  • Detail oriented a must

  • Good organizational skills a must

  • Must have excellent attendance and performance

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule

  • Must be able to be forklift certified

  • RF Gun experienced preferred
